Accessibility

Accessibility statement.

How accessible this website is today, what was done to get there, where it is not there yet, and how to tell us about it.

Scope

This statement applies to the website xaver.com of Xaver Group GmbH and Xaver Asset Management GmbH, including the publicly available calculators under /rechner and the demo portal at /demo-portal.

It does not cover the separate demo and training environments (demo.xaver.com, avd-demo.xaver.com), the trust centre at trust.xaver.com, or the booking flow of our scheduling provider. Those services run on third-party infrastructure and are covered by their own statements.

Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with the requirements; work is ongoing. The benchmark is EN 301 549 and with it the WCAG 2.1 level AA success criteria, as required of electronic commerce services by the German Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG).

“Partially conformant” means: the core journeys assessed meet the criteria as far as testing goes today, while individual pieces of content and embedded services do not yet. Those points are listed below in full, including the inconvenient ones.

What is in place

Every point describes something in this build that can be checked from the outside, not an intention:

  • A “Skip to main content” link as the first focusable element on every page, together with header, nav, main and footer landmarks and an unbroken heading hierarchy.
  • A visible focus ring on every control, Xaver Blue on light surfaces, white on dark and brand-blue panels, so it stays visible wherever it lands.
  • Keyboard operation for the menus, accordions, tab strips, dialogs, forms and the AI adviser card: arrow keys inside the tab strip, Escape closes menu and dialog, and focus returns to the control that opened them.
  • Alt text on every image. Product screenshots are described, what is laid out where, and what kind of value is shown, rather than merely named; photographs describe the picture, not the product beside it.
  • Contrast checked at the sizes actually rendered: body and small text at least 4.5:1, controls and graphics at least 3:1. Where a brand colour did not reach that, a darker variant of the same colour is used.
  • Form fields with permanently visible labels; error messages sit at the field, are tied to it with aria-describedby, and submitting moves focus to the first problem.
  • The autoplaying video loops carry a visible pause button inside the frame. In addition, the footer of every page carries a “Pause motion” button that stops every animation, transition and background video on the page at once and remembers the choice for the next visit. Visitors who ask their operating system for reduced motion get stills instead of loops in any case.
  • The notice bar at the very top holds still, carries one sentence and can be dismissed. The logo strip under the home page hero moves slowly, stops as soon as the pointer or keyboard focus is inside it, and stands entirely still once “Pause motion” is pressed or the operating system asks for reduced motion.
  • The page language is set in the HTML and follows the language toggle, so an English page is not read out in German.

Known limitations

These points do not meet the requirements today, or meet them only in part. They are known and they are on the list:

  • The AI adviser on /plattform/ki-berater is supplied by ElevenLabs. We have not assessed its interface and cannot change it. The same assistant is reachable by phone around the clock; the numbers sit beside the widget permanently, not only when it fails.
  • Product documents (key information documents, product information sheets, terms) are PDFs from product partners. Their accessibility is not in our hands. If you need a document in another form, write to us and we will obtain it.
  • The calculators also present their results as charts. Every headline figure appears as text alongside, but some details of a curve exist only in the graphic.
  • Testing so far has been against rule sets and by keyboard, not end to end with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) and not with disabled users. Both are planned; until then this statement is a self-assessment.

How this was assessed

This statement was prepared on 26 August 2026. It rests on a self-assessment: manual review of keyboard operation, labelling and colour contrast at the sizes actually rendered, plus an automated rule check with axe-core in a headless browser across twelve core pages, home, AVD as a Service, platform, demo portal, subsidy comparison, Altersvorsorgedepot, customers & references, security, insights and one article, demo booking, and the FAQ.

At the time of writing, that check reported no violations of severity “critical” or “serious” on any of the twelve pages. An automated check finds only part of what accessibility consists of; it replaces neither manual review nor an audit by an independent body. No such audit has taken place yet.

Feedback & contact

Have you come across something you cannot operate or cannot read? Write to us at hello@xaver.com. Helpful details: the address of the page, what you were trying to do, and what you were using (browser, operating system, and any assistive technology). We reply as quickly as we can, usually within two weeks.

If you need a piece of content in an accessible form, a product document that does not work as a PDF, for instance, tell us which form helps. We will provide it.

The postal address and the authorised representatives are in the imprint.

Enforcement procedure

If you are not satisfied with our response, or receive no reply within one month, you can turn to the market surveillance authority responsible under the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz. It examines whether a service meets the accessibility requirements of the BFSG and can order measures.

Responsible authority and address: Market Surveillance Authority of the Länder for the Accessibility of Products and Services, public-law institution (MLBF AöR), Carl-Miller-Straße 6, 39112 Magdeburg, kontakt@mlbf-barrierefrei.de, www.mlbf-barrierefrei.de. Going to the market surveillance authority does not replace telling us; it is what remains open to you afterwards.
